This is for our children...their children...and their children. This is for our family...this is for us!
Originally, this blog was my wife's, but I stole it since she stopped using it. So, now it will be a place for both of us to write and journal our experiences during this journey of getting healthy. For the both of us its more than just losing weight. Yes, we both want to be thin, but more importantly we want to be around for eachother and our children for a long, long time. We want t show our children that it just isn't okay to treat what He gave us so poorly...
We have stopped making excuses and are ready to face the challenge...are you?

TGIF

Yes, TGIF...except we have so much to do for tomorrow. The Mrs. is hosting a bridal shower for her sister tomorrow, our 11 year old has either a softball game or practice. Sunday, though, is Church! I am so excited to go back to our home church. We moved pretty far- it's about an hours drive but we try to make it every so often. Still haven't found a church home closer...After Church we are planning on a hike, it's suppose to be in the 70s here and no day like that should go to waste! One of my two year olds convinced me to stay home "sick" today. The Mrs. helped her out with the words...just a little. We made our way to the gym this morning. I stair stepped my way up 5 miles in 57 minutes. I wasn't going for a goal or anything, just trying to keep my heart rate between 125-150. My average was in the 140s. I did take a break from running today ad I am very curious as to how I am going to do for my long run tomorrow. If my daughter has practice at 9 am I will be running outside. We will see. The Mrs. was on the bike, she read her book. Then we headed off to chain of stores we had to go to including Costco. The kids love Costco for the samples. It was pretty successful actually. Tonight for dinner: homemade pizza with roasted broccoli. I did discover that I suck at getting the pizza dough in shape. She rocks at it though. Our friends are coming over to enjoy it with us then off to bowling! I'm hoping to see the 180s tomorrow.
