This is for our children...their children...and their children. This is for our family...this is for us!
Originally, this blog was my wife's, but I stole it since she stopped using it. So, now it will be a place for both of us to write and journal our experiences during this journey of getting healthy. For the both of us its more than just losing weight. Yes, we both want to be thin, but more importantly we want to be around for eachother and our children for a long, long time. We want t show our children that it just isn't okay to treat what He gave us so poorly...
We have stopped making excuses and are ready to face the challenge...are you?

Friday April 8th 2011

Breakfast: 1 cup cherrios (100c), 2 pieces of wheat toast (120c), 1 tbsp of peanut butter, 1/2 cup fat free milk (43c)
Lunch: Sweet Tomatoes- 3 1/2 cups lettuce (25c), beans (45c), cheese (114c), egg (35c), olives (20c), sunflower seeds (45c), fat free ranch (100c), 1/2 cup white bean chili (110c), 1 blueberry muffin (158c)
Dinner: 2 chicken legs (221c), potato salad (187c), salad with tomato, avocado, ranch and cheese (161c)
After dinner snack: 1 bag of 94% popcorn (225c)

Total calories: 1709

Today was an ok day. I think that I made good decisions despite going out to eat again. I have been noticing that my vegetable intake is sky rocketing which is great. I didn't go to the gym but I did take a walk and took the kids out to the park. I did not drink the amount of water that I was supposed to. I feel fatty today though. I was so tired last night that I passed out at 10:30 and didn't wake up until 7:30 this morning but oh well. Some days will be better than others.
