Originally, this blog was my wife's, but I stole it since she stopped using it. So, now it will be a place for both of us to write and journal our experiences during this journey of getting healthy. For the both of us its more than just losing weight. Yes, we both want to be thin, but more importantly we want to be around for eachother and our children for a long, long time. We want t show our children that it just isn't okay to treat what He gave us so poorly...

The month end

Sorry for the dramatics yesterday. I should never be so concerned at a night time weigh in when I drank 24 cups of water. The scale was nice to me today- 187. Tomorrow morning is the measurements, so I'll keep you posted. The total for this month was 10 lbs. Jessica lost 5 lbs this month (net). I think the inches lost will be a bit better.
It's Monday, so back to work and the gym. I got the girls up, got them ready, had my usual breakfast and we headed out the door. Jocelyn was a little upset about having to stay at the baby sitters. But she made it alright. I headed to work for bit before some meetings before I hit the gym.
I was pretty hungry today and had plenty of protein but I think I need to work in more fiber to help me stay full.
Anyhow, I killed it at the gym with a 4 mile run (finished in 38 minutes) and then free weights (upper body). I really do need to start incorporating my lower body in the weight routine. But I'm always so tired from my running. My goal this week is to do my lower body on the cross training days.
