I thought a lot about the goals that I wrote down here on this blog. I didn't want to fail at the goals that I set but I also didn't want the goals to be too easy. I came up with these.
Drink 64 ozs per day of water (I am addicted to Dr. P and never drink water)
Track calories here 1300-1400 per day.
Exercise at the gym 4 days per week.
Walk at least 1 mile 5 days per week.
Sleep from 11-6:30 A.M. everday (I consistently sleep for upwards of 10 hours per night which my doctor thinks is too much.)
Teach my older daughter 1 new thing about food/exercise per day.
Lose 10% of body weight (21 lbs) by May 15th 2011
Lose additional 15 lbs by July 1st 2011.
Lose a total of 70 lbs by December 31st 2011 (bringing me to my goal weight of 140).
I write down the calories I have eaten and the exercise I have done here and let you know how I am doing on my goals everyday.

This is for our children...their children...and their children. This is for our family...this is for us!
Originally, this blog was my wife's, but I stole it since she stopped using it. So, now it will be a place for both of us to write and journal our experiences during this journey of getting healthy. For the both of us its more than just losing weight. Yes, we both want to be thin, but more importantly we want to be around for eachother and our children for a long, long time. We want t show our children that it just isn't okay to treat what He gave us so poorly...
We have stopped making excuses and are ready to face the challenge...are you?
