Originally, this blog was my wife's, but I stole it since she stopped using it. So, now it will be a place for both of us to write and journal our experiences during this journey of getting healthy. For the both of us its more than just losing weight. Yes, we both want to be thin, but more importantly we want to be around for eachother and our children for a long, long time. We want t show our children that it just isn't okay to treat what He gave us so poorly...
We have stopped making excuses and are ready to face the challenge...are you?

I'm BACK!

So I'm back at 205 lbs. I had my first personal training appointment last week and revamped my dieting and exercise plan. I will be doing strength training 3x per week and cardo 5x per week. I will be eating 1500 calories or less and that needs to be way cut down on fat intake and carbs (such as pasta and bread). I am actually trying to do a whole month without pasta, bread, cereal, soda, or cereal. We will see how I do.

Monday May 2nd 2011

Breakfast: 2 scrambled eggs (170c), 2 turkey bacon (70c), 1 banana (72c)
Snack: Protein water (100c), 1 apple (95c)
Lunch: 2 cups of spinach (14c), 1 roma tomato (35c), 1/2 avocado (140c), 10 carrots (40c), 1/2 cup of kidney beans (100c), 1 snack size walnuts and almonds (100c), 1 tbls of ranch dip (40c)
Snack: 1/2 cup cottage cheese (110c), 1/2 cup of chopped pineapple (37c)
Dinner: 6 ozs of steak (318c), salad with tomatoes and carrots (30c), 1 baked potato (100c), 2 tbls of ranch dip (50c)

Total calories: 1612!!! Holy cow... I totally thought I did good today. That steak killed it.
